Over 35.83 lakh Covid cases reported so far in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 522 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday. The State has reported over 35.83 lakh cases so far. Cases remain stable across the State with 3.5% TPR after 15,208 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The highest TPR of 6.8% was reported in Ranipet and Kanniyakumari. Active cases stood at 5,496 with Chennai recording the highest at 2,375.

Chennai reported 104 new cases, Chengalpattu had 50 and Coimbatore had 38 new cases. As many as 533 people were discharged from several hospitals across the State. Total recoveries crossed 35.39 lakh. With no more deaths due to Covid-19, the death toll stood at 38,046.
