He took to his official Twitter and tweeted, "It is painful that Padma, a woman from Dharmapuri district, who went to Kerala to sell lottery tickets due to poverty, was sacrificed. My deepest condolences and sympathies to his family. Superstitions and atrocities like human sacrifice are prevalent in Kerala, where literacy is high. The Kerala government should ensure the safety of Tamils who go to Kerala in search of livelihood without any background!" (sic)
"Superstitions and atrocities like human sacrifices are prevalent in Kerala, where literacy is high. The Kerala government should ensure the safety of Tamilians who go to Kerala in search of livelihood without any background. Lack of employment in the Dharmapuri district is the main reason for people to go abroad. Employment schemes should be implemented in the Dharmapuri district. Rs 25 lakh compensation to be paid to Padma's family! @CMOKerala @pinarayivijayan," he added.
Ernakulam city police commissioner, C Nagaraju, said Mohammed Shafi, the prime accused in the human sacrifice case in which two women were allegedly murdered in a house at Elanthoor in Pathanamthitta District, is a pervert and the mastermind. Police also revealed that the alleged accused of the case possibly ate the flesh of the victims.
The issue came to limelight on Tuesday as three persons, including one woman, were suspected of luring and killing the women allegedly as a human sacrifice in black magic rituals, the City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju confirmed earlier on Tuesday.
