EPS asks DMK govt to pursue case against NEET
The AIADMK regime under his leadership had approached the Supreme Court and filed a case against NEET. After the change of regime, there has been no effort from the DMK government to pursue the case, said EPS in a statement.
CHENNAI: AIADMK interim general secretary and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami demanded the DMK government to expedite the case filed against NEET examination by the AIADMK government to protect the interest of the students in the State.
The AIADMK regime under his leadership had approached the Supreme Court and filed a case against NEET. After the change of regime, there has been no effort from the DMK government to pursue the case, said EPS in a statement.
“In such circumstances, the Supreme Court has listed the case for hearing on Friday. But, it has been learnt that the DMK government is planning to obtain adjournment of the trial as it is not interested in taking up the case,” he said.
When the NEET rank list is to be released, the act of the Tamil Nadu government is condemnable. The DMK government should pay some attention to getting rid of NEET instead of focusing on filing false cases against AIADMK leaders, he said.
Recalling that DMK poll promises that it would do away with the NEET once voted to power, EPS wondered, “When will it fulfill its poll promise regarding NEET.”
