DMK govt working consciously to take State forward: Stalin
Taking pride, he said the government is marked by hundreds of achievements during these 19 months of the regime and is being endorsed by the people.
MADURAI: The DMK-led government in the State is being genuine and true to the people, who voted the party to power. It is working consciously to take the state forward as the best in India. Tamil Nadu’s growth and development on all fronts are clearly visible, Chief Minister MK Stalin said while addressing the people in Tenkasi on Thursday.
Taking pride, he said the government is marked by hundreds of achievements during these 19 months of the regime and is being endorsed by the people.
Stalin said he could witness an outpouring of happiness among people who are beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. People want the ongoing regime to continue forever, and it motivated him. It is certainly an identity of good governance, the CM added.
“The government is catering to the needs of people, but the opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) is still making baseless claims that the DMK did nothing and failed to fulfil poll promises. People of Tamil Nadu had awakened 19 months ago to end the dark period and looked forward to the ‘Rising Sun’. The party rejected by people needs no explanation. It is obvious that EPS is saying things just for a publicity stunt,” he added.
“My day-to-day job is to monitor and ensure successful implementation of plans for the welfare of people. My target is to execute the plans on time and hence touring various districts”, he said.
In the next phase, he said plans are afoot to conduct district-wise inspections in person, review the progress in development projects announced earlier, and insist that officials get on with their tasks to perform responsibly to expedite the process.
The government is for the people said CM Stalin and vowed to support for further development of Tenkasi.
Under Stalin’s ‘Ungal Thoguthiyil Muthalamaichar’ scheme, as many as 11, 494 petitions were received in Tenkasi, and 11,490 petitions were resolved.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated 57 various development schemes worth Rs 22.20 crore and laid the foundation stone for 23 new infrastructure development projects to come up at a cost of Rs 34.14 crore. He also distributed welfare assistance to the tune of Rs 182.56 crore to a total of 1,03,508 beneficiaries on the occasion.
KN Nehru, Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply, I Periyasamy, Cooperatives Minister, KKSSR Ramachandran, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, P Akash, Tenkasi Collector and others were present.
