Talking about the design of emoji that was in the process of being developed, Twitter India Head, news, politics and government Raheel Khursheed said "it is yet to be designed, but it is likely to have a hand symbol representing 'I voted'."
Mr Khursheed, who met Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni today, said innovative strategies to reach people on Twitter ahead of the Assembly elections were discussed.
Talking to media after the meeting, Mr Khursheed said new tools have been deployed to enable lengthy election related videos to be uploaded.
All the followers of TN Elections and whoever tweets with the hash tag #TN100% will be sent reminders on May 16 to vote.
People, who have voted will receive a digitally signed signature of their favourite celebrity involved in the election campaign.
Mr Lakhoni said usually only 30-50 seconds video could be uploaded on Twitter. This new feature was launched for the EC.
"True to our motto of 100 per cent honesty and 100 per cent voting, this venture will attract a wide spectrum of people towards voting", he added.
