The camera is stripped down, exposing only the power and shutter buttons, with no LCD screen or memory card. As part of the service, every photo you take is automatically sent to the cloud, where Relonch will select your best photos and edit them via an Artificial Intelligence algorithm.
You receive the edited images the next morning. While it may sound like a dream to non-photographers looking to capture great photos, Relonch’s business model can be pretty mind-boggling for photographers, given that it effectively removes us from the picture-making process.
There is also much to be desired from its current editing process, which essentially look like the photos were slapped on with an effects filter. You can test drive Relonch at its Palo Alto showroom in California.
