A news portal claimed that Amnesty International, one of the coordinators of the Pegasus Project, has backtracked on its initial reportage into the Israeli spyware used to target journalists, activists and politicians. Alt News found a misleading narrative has been built that Amnesty backtracked the investigation. Instead, it has always maintained that 50K numbers on the list are potential surveillance targets by the NSO Group’s clients.
