Rahul did not refuse to perform ‘aarti’ for deity

In the middle of the Navrathri festivities, a 23-second video of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has gone viral on social media. Due to the video’s poor quality, only his face is visible.

After performing the aarti, the person standing to his right does not pass him the thali and instead handed it to the person on his left.

Filmmaker-BJP supporter Ashoke Pandit tweeted the video and wrote Rahul, who had donned a janeu in the past, was now refusing to do the aarti. But Altnews found in the longer version of the clip, Rahul performs the aarti and hands over the thali to Congress leader Ashok Gehlot.
