What is a knee replacement surgery and how safe is it for one to undergo it? - Sreemathy Saran, Mambalam
Total knee replacement surgeries are usually conducted on patients suffering from age-related issues and involves replacement of natural joints with artificial ones. Today, more and more patients are coming up for knee replacement surgeries as early as in their mid-50s, due to a growing need for active and pain free life. When the implant wears out or develops a problem, patients are required to undergo a second surgery to replace the existing implant, which is referred to as revision surgery.
