He looked attractive in every single role that he played so far. Currently, the actor is shooting for a period drama titled 1945 in which he has got a new makeover. According to him, fitness is part of his job rather than his lifestyle. “I am not really a fit guy. What happens is that I train for characters. For example, I spent five years for Baahubali. For films like that, you have to go extremely hardcore. You have to train like a body-builder and an athlete. Fitness is not part of my everyday life; it’s a part of my job. I go to the gym like I go to the office. And, I really enjoy doing that because it is for a certain role that I am playing,” he added.

He likes to do intense cardiovascular activities apart from running, swimming and jackknife squats. The actor who was once 95 kilograms (during Baahubali) stripped all the fat and came down to 80 kilograms of body weight. The actor believes that his exercise routine would not have worked had it not been supplemented with a healthy diet plan. Despite his occasional binges, Rana eats healthy. His breakfast is heavy on carbohydrates from healthy sources like oatmeal with nuts or brown bread with egg whites and vegetables. A typical snack for Rana Daggubati would be a protein shake or some fruit and for lunch, he eats some fish with lots of greens. His dinner consists of protein-rich salads, in order to recover from his intense workout sessions.
