I heard that eyes, like skin can get sunburned too. If so, how can I protect them from heat these days?
Chitra Awasthi, Perambur
Eye problems tend to soar during the hot season when your eyes can get sunburned too. Few tools such as sunglasses and contact lenses are the most effective to protect the eyes. UV exposure polarized or 99-100% UV protective sunglasses and contact lenses with built-in UV protection help protect the eyes from harmful rays produced by the sun. The larger the sunglasses, the more protection given. Make sure your glasses cover the complete skin around the eye. Preventing UV radiation from penetrating your eyes could reduce eye-fatigue and slow cataract development.

I have been gaining weight in the last few months and I have been told by friends that it could be due to PCOS. I want to know more about it. I am 18 years old? Am I at risk? What are the causes?

If the follow up reports showed that you are free of the infection, there are less chances that it is a relapse of the disease. Usually, a six-months or nine-months treatment with regular check-up is followed for a TB patient. However, it is important to go for a sputum test and X-ray of the chest to check if there is a trace of the infection. A patient who was declared free of infection, but is tested positive at 5 months or more after starting treatment should undergo treatment for TB relapse.
