They can be made with very little effort, using fruit juices in some hot water, along with some seasoning. These teas come full of assorted vitamins and minerals. You can make your fruit teas from a variety of ingredients like bananas, pomegranate, cherries, oranges, peaches and blueberries. We bring you three simple fruit teas you can start off with at your home.
Instead of the sugar-loaded drinks, most of the fruit teas are naturally sweet and can be enjoyed without added sugar. With antioxidants and muscle relaxants, fruit teas also help in treating sleep disorders, aid weight loss and help in building immunity.
Start off with a simple banana tea, as the fruit is commonly available. Add water in a pan and let it boil, and add in the peeled banana when water comes to a boil. Let it simmer for 15 minutes and add cinnamon powder. Sift through a strainer to discard the banana and consume the tea hot.
You can make an apple tea by taking water, cinnamon sticks, a teaspoon of green tea and ginger in a pan to bring it to a boil. Strain and add honey, lemon juice to taste and serve. The healthy compounds found in apple tea are known to have positive effects on the blood sugar levels inside one’s body, while curing constipation, improving bone heath and heart health.
A nutrient-rich pomegranate tea, which is known to prevent arthritis, can be made by using pomegranate seeds and water, along with little sugar.
Take the pomegranate seeds in a bowl and add sugar. Press using a pestle to bring the juices out and create a syrup by dissolving the sugar. Store this pomegranate syrup in a clean jar.
Whenever you’d like to make a tea, simply boil water and pour it over into a cup with a spoonful of pomegranate syrup.
