Saudi says it shot down Yemeni missile

The Saudi military says it intercepted the missile this morning in Jizan province and later attacked and destroyed the platform that launched the missile in Yemen. 

It made the announcement in a statement carried by the state-run Saudi Press Agency. Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies in the Gulf, backing Yemen’s internationally recognised government, have been battling Shiite rebels in the country known as Houthis.
