The post in question received 3 million likes by Monday and received 69,000 comments with a number of users assuming that it was a child vaccination endorsement. Apparently, the need for child vaccination is still a heated debate in America and according to anti-vaccination advocates, immunizing children can develop diseases and disorders like autism.

Some of the users voiced their support for vaccination and appreciated Zuckerberg while the others slammed the social media giant for setting a bad example.

It is worth mentioning that Zuckerberg, who has got 48 million followers in Facebook sparked another outcry last February for endorsing a book titled 'On Immunity' which deals with the vaccination debate in the United States. The post from last February read "Vaccination is an important and timely topic. The science is completely clear: vaccinations work and are important for the health of everyone in our community."

Well, it is quite clear that Mark's stand for vaccination is strong despite the criticism. However, only time can tell on how the debate will turn in the coming weeks.
