Hindujas step closer to renovating Old War Office

The Hinduja Group has formally acquired the 1,100-room Old War Office heritage building in central London, once occupied by Britain’s war-time Prime Minister Winston Churchill

Brothers GP Hinduja and PP Hinduja and their Spanish partner Juan-Miguel were handed over the key to the building in London. It will now be restored and re-developed into a 5-star hotel and residential apartments.

Style Statement

  • Historic 580,000 square feet building is spread over 7 floors, connected by 3 km long corridors
  • Bought for an undisclosed sum, Old War Office to be restored and redeveloped as a 5-star hotel and apartment units
  • Sales by UK Defence Ministry on a 250-year lease arrangement
  • Building close to British Parliament and Prime Minister’s residence
  • Flamboyant UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill operated out of these offices during World War II
