“Our failed political establishment has delivered nothing but poverty at home and disaster overseas. They get rich making America poor. It’s time to reject a media and political elite that’s bled our country dry,” Trump told his supporters in Sarasota, Florida, one of his campaign stops on Monday.

He repeated his closing arguments at a series of meetings throughout the day. “It’s finally time for us to fight for America. We’re going to fight for America. I’m not a politician. My only special interest is you,” he said amidst chant of “USA! USA! USA!” from his supporters.

Trailing slightly behind in polls against Hillary Clinton, Trump claimed that he is doing good in a number of battleground States and there is a surge in his support. “We’re gonna win Michigan. We’re  gonna win Minnesota. We’re leading big in Ohio. We’re leading in Iowa. We’re  leading in New Hampshire. We’re leading in North Carolina. We’re doing very, very well in Pennsylvania. Very well,”  he added.
