About 200 police personnel had been deployed in and around the NAB office yesterday in view of Sharif and his sons' appearance in the office but they gave it a skip, Pakistan daily Dawn was quoted as saying.

The five-member NAB team comprising an additional director, a deputy director, and an assistant director, then returned to Rawalpindi and will take a decision on whether or not to send another notice to the family after consultation with the agency's chairman.

It also remains to be seen whether Sharif and his sons will be summoned to the offices in Lahore or Islamabad.

According to PML-N insiders, after discussion with close aides and their legal team, Sharif and his sons had decided not to join the investigation until the apex court decided on his review petition which disqualified him from office.
