Coronavirus recent updates: From US to Australia, here's the list of confirmed cases from around the world

The rapid spread of 'coronavirus' is the current alarming threat surrounding the countries around the world. The virus which is much similar to the popular SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) is said to have originated from birds and mammals. It is now claiming the lives of humans in an increasing scale.

The pathogen which was found first in Wuhan, China has killed 132 people in the country, and has infected over 4,500 on the whole. When superpower countries like China and US focused on nuclear weapons as next disastrous thing, here we are with the deadliest biological threat, which is affecting many countries across the globe with no bias.   

Let's take a look at the statistics of spread of coronavirus across the countries.

India: No cases have been confirmed in India so far regarding the coronavirus, but over 100 people are under observation in Kerala and Maharashtra since January 27.

China: China is the country from which the virus actually originated. It has killed over 132 people in China and the number of confirmed cases in China has increased to 5,974.

Hong Kong: 8 cases are confirmed in Hong Kong regarding the coronavirus.

Taiwan: Taiwan has also confirmed 8 cases on coronavirus.

France: 4 cases have been confirmed in France, with one in Bordeaux and three in Paris. All the 4 people are said to be the travelers from China.

Germany: 4 people have been identified in Germany with infections of coronavirus. All the 4 patients were connected to each other. The virus had spread to them from a Chinese colleague who visited their area for a company workshop.

Srilanka: A Chinese woman was tested positive for the virus in Srilanka. After one confirmed case, the island nation suspended its Visa policy for Chinese nationals.

Australia: 5 confirmed cases were registered in Australia regarding the coronavirus. According to latest reports, another 16 people including a 2-year-old are suspected to have the infections of coronavirus.

US: 5 people in US have been infected with the coronavirus. One from Washington, one from Illinois, two from California and one from Arizona.

Canada: 3 have been tested positive for coronavirus is Canada. Two among them is a couple who returned to Toronto last week from China's Wuhan. The other one is a man who recently returned to Canada from China after a business trip to Wuhan.

Malaysia: 7 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in Malaysia. All the seven are Chinese nationals. One among the seven is a 4-year-old girl from China.

UAE: According to the recent update, The United Arab Emirates confirmed the first case of the deadly coronavirus on Wednesday. It is the first reported case of the virus in the Middle East. The members from a family are tested positive for the virus. Notably, the family came to UAE from China's Wuhan.
