World's first breathable Covid vaccine gets approval in China

CHENNAI: Afraid of Needles? Now no worries. On Monday, China became the first county in the world to introduce needle-free, respirable Covid vaccines made by Tianjin-based CanSino Biologics Inc’s, CanSio Ad5-nCov for emergency use as booster vaccines was approved by China’s national medical products administration.
This also shot up the company’s share by 14.5% this Monday morning in Hong Kong.
The initial one-shot vaccine was found to be 66% effective in preventing covid symptoms and also 91% effective against severe diseases. In today’s Gen numerous Medical Healthcare giant companies are looking forward to developing inhalable versions of vaccines stimulating antibodies through nasal & airway tissues defending against the Covid virus.
About the vaccine: According to Bloomberg, the inhaled version can stimulate cellular immunity and induce mucosal immunity to boost protection without intramuscular injection. This became the first vaccine in the world to undergo human testing in March 2020 by conducting testing in several countries like China, Mexico, Pakistan, Hungary & Malaysia after being rolled out in Mid Feb-2021.
CanSionoBIO received clinical trial approval in March 2021 by showing that inhaled version of the vaccine reacted immune system response without any side effects.
