Dhanush, Thaanu likely to bankroll Rajini 169

The buzz around Thalaivar 169 is already doing major rounds in the tinseltown. For the last few weeks, the grapevine has it that Vels Film International, which is cementing its position in the industry by producing and distributing films of leading stars, will be bankrolling Thalaivar 169. When contacted, a reliable source in tinseltown, told DT Next, “Dhanush, will be producing Thalaivar 169 under his home banner Wunderbar Films in 2020. Kalaippuli S Thaanu is also expected to co-produce this film. In fact, Thaanu was one of the contenders to produce Darbar before Superstar chose to give the film to Lyca Productions.” Apart from that we hear that several directors are in line, including Vetri Maaran, to narrate the story to Rajinikanth in April next year. The Superstar is expected to get a remuneration of a whopping Rs 100 crore for what could be his last film in a career that spanned over five decades. The actor is currently shooting for his untitled project with Siruthai Siva. The shoot is taking place at a brisk pace and the film has Meena, Kushbhu and Keerthy Suresh in important roles.
