I look forward to dubbing for my roles: Shirin Kanchwala
Actress Shirin Kanchwala whose character of Nisha in Sivakarthikeyan production Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja was critically acclaimed has been flooded with offers.

“Though I have been getting offers, I could say that I have been a little finicky in signing movies. Nenjamundu… went on to become a commercial success. Being a debut film, it put my career on a high pedestal and also kindled the expectation of the audience on my upcoming films. I am enjoying this responsibility and have been working on being a part of good films,” she begins. The actress plays the female lead in Sibi Sathyaraj’s Walter and Santhanam’s upcoming film Dikkilona. “I couldn’t have asked for more. Sibi and Santhanam are known for their experimental content and being a part of their films comes across as a blessing,” she tells us.
According to Shirin, the sets of Walter were a learning curve for her. “The set of Walter was fun-filled with Sibi and Samuthirakani around. I play a software professional in the film. Though I am new to Tamil industry, I didn’t choose to prompt my dialogues in the film. Instead, I sat with the director of the film Anbu, who taught me the lines as I have always believed that knowing the language helps you emote better. I am looking forward to dubbing for my roles in Tamil in future. I have a minor portion left to be shot from the film for which I will begin shooting from the second week of this month.” However, the actress says that she doesn’t want to talk about her role in Santhanam’s Dikkilona. “Even if I give away a one-liner about my character from Dikkilona, that would end up becoming a spoiler. The role will be yet another first-of-its-kind and will elevate my career graph,” she tells us. Apart from these films, Shirin awaits the release of her film with Vimal. “It is a rural entertainer and is all set to hit the screens soon. I have also signed another couple of Tamil films and an announcement will be made by respective production houses,” she concludes.
