    Sethu plays a Tamilian in Forrest Gump remake

    Even before signing up for Vijay’s upcoming film, Master, actor Vijay Sethupathi confirmed that he would be making his debut in Bollywood with Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha. The film is said to be the official remake of critically acclaimed Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, which released in 1984.

    Actors like Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, Manav Gohil and Pankaj Tripathi will also be part of the project.


    Now, we hear an interesting piece of information about Vijay Sethupathi’s character in the film. Sources in the know of things confirmed that Sethupathi will be seen playing the role of Aamir Khan’s friend, which was essayed by popular actor Mykelti Williamson in the original. “Vijay Sethupathi’s role would be a pivotal one, and his character will add lot of value to the script. He will be playing a Tamilian in the film and his dialogues will be in Tamil, too,” the source says. We also hear that the actor will be flying to Himachal Pradesh in February to shoot for his portions. “Sethupathi will wrap up Vijay 64 before the first week of February and then join the sets of Lal Singh Chaddha,” the source adds.
