Abhirami roped in for Charan’s web series

Now, the makers of the film has have that Abhirami Venkatachalam, who shot to fame with the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 3, has been roped in to play one of the leads in the series.

It’s been only a few days since we reported that singer-producer SP Charan is all set to direct a web series titled Adhigaram and the shoot of it is likely to begin this month. Now, the makers of the film has have that Abhirami Venkatachalam, who shot to fame with the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 3, has been roped in to play one of the leads in the series.

A source close to the unit says, “Adhigaram is an intense political thriller which touches upon sensitive issues. The project went on floors on January 6 and Abhirami Venkatachalam has already begun working on it. Cable Shankar has penned the script and dialogue for this web series.”

Athulya Ravi, who was last seen in Capemaari, will also be a part of the project. The series also features actors like Vellai Pookal Dev, Ilavarasu, AL Alagappan, John Vijay and Vinodhini in important roles. SP Charan will be producing it under his home banner Capital Film Works.
