Talking to DT Next, the director of the film I Ganesh said, “The film talks about the culture of Tamil people and will remind us their roots.
The hero of the film is a fortune teller based in a village near Theni. He falls in love with a girl from another village. In order to marry the girl, he needs to quit his profession. Whether he marries the love of his life or he sticks to his profession is the crux of Kayiru.”
The director quickly added that the film has been tweaked ahead of its theatrical release on March 13. “We had presented a different version, the one without songs for the film festivals. Our audience usually believe that such films lack commercial elements. However, there will be songs and extra scenes in the theatrical version,” he concluded.
