Suriya to play a lawyer in next flick
Actor Suriya, who is all set to wait for the release of his upcoming big flick Soorarai Pottru, is reportedly playing a lawyer in his next film, to be directed by TJ Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruthan fame. Interestingly, Suriya’s wife Jyothika will also be portraying the role of a lawyer in her next movie Ponmagal Vanthaal to be directed by JJ Fredrick and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.

Suriya is also said to simultaneously be shooting for Aruvaa which will be helmed by Hari and produced by Studio Green Gnavelraja. The team aims to release the movie this Diwali. Surya and Hari have already proven their combination with hits like Vel and Singam franchise. Aruvaa is their sixth film together after Aaru, Vel, Singam 1, 2 and 3. Aruvaa will have its music composed by D Imman. The production house earlier released a statement on its twitter handle that the film’s shoot will commence from April and will end with one straight schedule. Earlier in February, Oscar-winning film producer, Guneet Monga said she had plans to make a Hindi version of Soorarai Pottru based on the life of Air Deccan founder G R Gopinath. The film also stars Aparna Balamurali, Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, Urvashi and Telugu star Mohan Babu in vital roles. Recently, 2D Entertainment, in a statement, said it has halted all filming and post production work till March 31 as a precaution against the COVID pandemic.
