The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the entertainment industry to a standstill. While several film shoots were stalled, there was absolute silence over the hit Tamil reality show Bigg Boss. The fourth season of the show that was supposed to start in July was rumoured to have been cancelled this year. The reason was actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan who hosted the first three seasons, had originally allocated dates for Season 4 in JulyAugust. However, with films like Indian 2 and Thalaivan Irukkiran in various stages of production, the grapevine had it that he had opted out from hosting the show.
Our sources in the broadcast channel now reveal that, “The show is on with a slight delay in the schedule. Bigg Boss will happen later this year and Kamal sir will be the host. We will make an official announcement soon.” The source said the channel has also commenced the shoot of soaps, hence shooting Bigg Boss isn’t far away. “We have new teleserials which will be aired on our channel from today. So, Bigg Boss 4 too will take off contrary to the rumours,” they added.
