“We have titled it Corona Kumar (inspired by his character of Sumaar Moonji Kumar played by Vijay Sethupathi) and the entire story is based on lockdown,” Gokul told DT Next. To be produced by K Sathish under his banner Cinemawala, Gokul added that the film would go on floors post lockdown. “The film will be a laugh riot as there are quite a lot of characters we would have come across this lockdown. They have all been humourous in their own way and have made us feel better during such tough times.,” said the director.

Gokul said that the cast and crew of the film will be announced once it is finalised. “I have already zeroed in on a few characters from real life. Another 60 per cent of the cast will be finalised in the coming days. The movie though is a laugh riot, will be based on what we have witnessed in the last few months. It will focus on people who haven’t been maintaining discipline in this period. There has been a lot of panic and fear among people but there is hardly any discipline. That is what Corona Kumar is all about. The film will also talk about alcoholics and their struggles,” he concluded.
