Film celebs wish India on Independence Day
Big B saluted frontline Covid workers who are fighting day and night to protect the nation from the outbreak of coronavirus.

From Amitabh Bachchan to Akshay Kumar, from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Taapsee Pannu, and from Mahesh Babu to Varun Dhawan and Abhishek Bachchan, a gamut of film celebrities took to social media to wish India on the occasion of Independence Day.

"The true warriors in the fight against CoviD .. salute .. and on this auspicious day of our Independence wishes for peace prosperity," he tweeted.
Akshay Kumar shared an important message in a video he tweeted, urging everyone to help street vendors. He also mentioned how difficult it is for them to survive amid the lockdown.
"#Together4India...We all know these people, we all have these people in our lives.On this #IndependenceDay, lets come together for them, lets come #Together4India," Akshay wrote.
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu tweeted: "The day that marked the dawn of a new beginning...When Independence became our greatest victory! May this freedom lead our way. Let's always be grateful. Happy #IndependenceDay to all my fellow Indians! Jai Hind"
Actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan and Neha Dhupia have posted pictures of their children holding the Indian flag.
"Freedom in our minds, faith in our words and pride in our souls," Kareena captioned her image that has son Taimur holding a flag.
"We in 2020 are now in a better situation to comprehend what an infringement on our freedom truly means. It may only be a fraction of the time and a fraction of the scope of what our fore parents endured but it is enough for us to value our liberties and look forward to the return of the old normal. #happyindependenceday #jaihind," Soha wrote along with an image of her daughter Inaaya with a handmade flag.

Actor Varun Dhawan shared a throwback video where we see him interacting with Jawans at Wagah Border.
Karisma Kapoor posted a few pictures of her waving the Indian flag.
