Santhosh Narayanan records a song for Andhadhun remake

It was officially announced that the Tamil remake of Andhadhun will be helmed by JJ Fredrick of Ponmagal Vandhaal fame. Simran joined the team a few days ago and will be reprising the role of Tabu from the original. The latest news is that Santhosh Narayanan has been roped in to compose the music for the Tamil version. “I couldn’t think of anyone beyond Santhosh to work on the music for the story. We are working on something that will only have the crux of the original and the essence will be totally different. Santhosh was happy to be a part of the team. In fact, we have finished composing for a song in the film,” Fredrick told DT Next.

He added that Simran too was his first choice for Tabu’s role. “There were several speculations on who will reprise Tabu’s role in Tamil. Simran gladly agreed to play the part. We are going on floors in the third week of January and will shoot in Chennai and Puducherry. The climax of the film will be shot in London,” the director added. The film is being bankrolled by Thiagarajan, and it has actor Prashanth as the main lead. “There are a few more surprises in terms of casting and we will be making the announcement as and when they happen,” concluded Fredrick.
