The Kindness Foundation along with artist Upasana Asrani hosted an art event called Kindness Upcycled in the city on December 20.
Chennai
Mahima Poddar, the founder of The Kindness Project, tells us, “Children were sitting at home attending online classes for the past eight months. We wanted to give them a break and organised this event. We collected empty alcohol bottles and converted them into vases. Upasana demonstrated the painting method and children were asked to paint whatever comes to their mind. Around 20 children from one of the nearby fishing hamlets and 15 children from the city participated in this fun art event. Money collected from the sale of the painted bottles will be used to buy educational supplies for the children from the hamlet.”
