“It is overwhelming that a film that releases at this day and time has managed a month’s run in theatres. It shows that people still believe in and support good content without star cast,” she begins. In the film, she plays the role of a pregnant woman and the wife of a food delivery executive, who seeks justice. Choosing another realistic role sans glamour and subtler, Raveena believes that such female characters are shortlived in the audience’s memories. “Especially in Tamil cinema, such roles do not grab the audience’s eyeballs easily. It’s not the case always, but the audience comparatively have changed a lot. Some even braved the rains to watch the movie,” she replies. Having played the girl-next-door in Kidaayin Karunai Manu and KUN, the actress says that she would choose different roles in future, “Firstly, I wouldn’t choose melancholic roles in future. I definitely like anyone else, would prefer content over anything and see what I could do differently from my previous films. However, on the brighter side, my roles have been more relatable as an actor than a dubbing artiste. I have dubbed for roles that were difficult for me to relate to and emote. That way as an actor, I am glad that I have chosen roles, which had an impact on me,” she adds.
