After my graduation, I tried several jobs and started wedding photography. Initially, I started to work with friends -- helping each other. I bought a camera and other equipment to start my own studio in my village. I do not get any business for six months in a year which are considered inauspicious. During that time, I edit photos and videos taken earlier apart from helping friends. I would meet various types of customers, some of them are arrogant. But I cannot afford to show my anger to the customers. It would mean that I lose business. Reputation is important in this field. Some people will treat us good and respect us. Also, this occupation needs frequent investment. I cannot sustain in this field if I fail to update myself and my equipment. I need to buy new cameras every time they are launched as the customers prefer updated equipment. There is one annoying thing in this profession is a selfie. Even though we are investing more and using updated cameras, many youngsters would take selfies. Even some would ask us to take pictures on their mobile phone cameras. Updated mobile phones with superior camera quality is a challenge. I a few years’ time, many would stop hiring wedding photographers.
