M  y mother used to bake cakes at home by watching videos and reading recipe books. I used to watch her work and it got me interested in baking and I started to learn from her.

I moved to Chennai after getting married and I always wanted to help poor children. So, instead of depending on my husband for money I decided to start my own business “Craving Mania” at home in 2018.

I donate 50 per cent of whatever I make from the business to an orphanage. Also, whoever asks me for help, I am able to help them without hesitation. It’s a great blessing to make people happy.  Although there are several bakeries in the city now, I get a lot of customers because the quality of the cake and its quantity is worth the price. Often, shops sell cakes with a lot of cream and little batter. But I use less cream and more batter in cakes. They are also baked fresh every day and do not contain chemical preservatives.

My family has been extremely supportive of this venture and they even suggest design ideas for the cakes. After few years, I plan to open a restaurant in the city.
