BJP begins campaign to counter opposition

In a statement here, BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan said while large section of public were welcoming the PM’s efforts to curb black money in the country by demonetisation, it was strange that opposition parties have called an agitation against the Centre’s move. “To counter their unwanted agitation, the state unit of the BJP, starting from Sunday, launched a campaign in favour of PM Modi’s efforts to cleanse the country from corruption,’’ Tamilisai said. She also appealed to the public, traders and all sections of the society not to support the opposition party’s wrong move and instead support the Prime Minister’s effort to curb black money in the country. 

‘’Today onwards, the BJP will organise “Modi for People, People with Modi” slogan campaign in support of the Prime Minister, who has been working tirelessly for people’s welfare withstanding all criticisms from opposition parties,’’ Tamilisai said. She also pointed out that in the Cauvery basin, the methane gas exploration project permitted by the previous Cong-DMK combine UPA Government was cancelled by the present Modi regime and the EIA clearance was denied for Siruvani Dam by Kerala considering that it would affect the drinking water and irrigation projects of Coimbatore and Erode.
