2 juveniles from Marakkanam rescued in school uniform
Two school students from Marakkanam in Villupuram district, who reached Chennai, by bus on their own to tour around the city, were rescued in Vadapalani on Tuesday night and handed over to their parents. They were studying Class 9 and 10 at a government school in Marakkanam.

They boarded a government bus after school on Monday and reached Chennai. While their parents lodged a complaint at local police station as the boys did not return home, the duo on Tuesday night approached a restaurant owner seeking job. As they were in school uniform, the owner on suspicion informed the Vadapalani police. Inquiries revealed that wanted to visit Chennai and left home. The Marakkanam police were informed about the schoolboys and they were handed over to their parents on Wednesday.
