Teen falls from 3rd floor, admitted to hospital
A 17-year-old girl, who fell from the third floor of a building in Triplicane on Wednesday night, has been admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

The police said that V Madhumitha of Canal Street in Triplicane was talking to her friend over phone standing on the terrace of her three-storey house when she slipped and fell from a height of about 40 ft. Hearing the noise, her father Veerabhathran, a private firm employee, rushed her to Kosha hospital from where she was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hosptial (RGGGH). With injuries on her limbs, she is stable at the intensive care unit, said the police. The Anna Square police, on information, registered a case and are inquiring who she was speaking to on the phone and whether it was a suicide bid. Madhumitha, who has completed Class 10, is working at a printing press at Chintadripet.
