Two arrested for putting up banner
The police arrested two persons for displaying a banner asking North Indians to leave Tamil Nadu on Friday.

They erected the banner in front of an apartment in Vepery on Wednesday. The accused identified as Vinoth Kumar (29) and Shankar (30) are functionaries of Tamil Desiya Katchi. On Wednesday night, the duo hung the banner which read, ‘Tamil Nadu is for Tamilians. North Indians should leave immediately’. After the security informed the secretary of the apartment, the banner was removed.
