Immigration officials prepare list of foreign returnees from Feb 15

As the number of COVID19 patients is increasing daily, Health department has asked the immigration officials to prepare the list. Sources said that nearly 1.5 lakh persons had arrived in the city in the intimated period but only 50,000 of them have been quarantined. Once the list id prepared, it will be distributed among the officials concerned to initiate quarantine measures.

On January 15, AAI had started to screen the passengers who arrived from China. After a week, the authorities started screening passengers from Italy, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Iran, too.As the virus was spreading rapidly and it reached all countries across the world, they started screening all foreign passengers from February 15.
