COVID patients disappear from Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital
At least two COVID patients under treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) escaped on Thursday and Friday according to the police.

So far five patients had walked away from treatment and only one has been traced, the police added. On Thursday afternoon, the staff found a patient missing.
The resident of Pattabiram was admitted to the hospital on Monday. He had told another patient that he was going to the restroom but did not return.
On Friday, another patient, a resident of Chetpet, escaped similarly. Another man who drifted away from the designated ward was traced to the sixth floor a few hours later.
In the last week of April, a mentally disturbed patient had also managed to escape and walked back to his house in Pullianthope. Later, the police and health workers brought him back to the hospital.
