The festival will take place from June 10 to 14. This is a fundraiser to support marginalised artistes. The Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout have had a debilitating impact on the world of arts. Most artistes depend on their performance for their everyday survival. With a complete shutdown of social activity, their situation is precarious.

From March 2020, Sumanasa Foundation has been supporting artists and those in associated professions (across India), many of whom belong to marginalised sections of society. “The Online Performing Arts Festival is in continuation to our efforts to support marginalised artists. We believe that it is important to cultivate an ecosystem where we can appreciate and pay for all art, and as a step towards this, only donors will receive access to view the festival. There are many more artists who need our support and the funds raised through this festival will help us continue our work,” say the organisers.
