Class 8 boy behind hoax bomb threat to Rajini’s residence let off with a warning
The city police have traced the person who called the 108 control room and said that bombs would explode in actor Rajinikanth’s residence in Poes Garden.

Police said that the caller, a Class 8 student of Nellikuppam in Cuddalore, was found to be suffering from learning difficulties and that the juvenile was let off after a warning.
After the hoax bomb call landed at 108 ambulance control centre at 10.30 am on Thursday, a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) had rushed to Rajinikanth’s house in Poes Garden.
The actor’s family members, however, refused to let the police team inside the house to check for explosives, citing COVID-19. The officials later declared the threat to be a hoax call.
The city police with the help of in Cuddalore tracked down the caller and found it was a student. The student was later let off with a warning after police conducted investigations and after scrutinising his medical records.
His father tendered unconditional apologies for the boy’s act and claimed that both of them were fans of the actor.
