7.5pc quota in Medical colleges for Government school students
The TN Government has passed a resolution, in the ongoing Tamil Nadu assembly session allotting 7.5pc quota for Government school passed outs, in Medical colleges.

The three-day brief session of the Tamilnadu Assembly began in Kalaivanar Arangam, today.
The first day of the assembly session began after the condolence resolutions adopted mourning the deaths of former President Pranab Mukherjee, DMK MLA J Anbazhagan, Congress MP H Vasanthakumar and those who died of coronavirus.
The significant resolution of 7.5pc reservation for the eligible Government school passed outs, who crack the NEET exams successfully, was tabled by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisami.
The resolution was passed immediately, unopposed, reports said.
The session would begin with Question Hour on the next two days and the first supplementary budget would be tabled in the House on 16 September.
Ahead of the session, all the MLAs, including Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, Speaker P Dhanapal, Assembly officials, officers and journalists were subjected to corona tests and returned negative, except for two officials.
