Tamil Nadu is in the 'Recovery phase' of the pandemic: TN CM
The Chief Minister met with the health experts and government officials to decide on the next phase of covid action plans.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisami who chaired the meeting with the health experts and higher officials from the Government, discussed upon the next course of action. With the country slowly crawling towards Unlock mode, the State Government has to decide upon the further set of SOPs to be followed, with the upcoming festival season.
EPS said the health reports submitted by the experts reveal that the State is towards the recovery, curbing the pandemic situation. He thanked the frontline warriors who have stood against all odds, without whom this downtrend in covid spread would'nt have been possible.
Since the current lockdown period expires on October 30 and with the Central Government issuing orders extending the current guidelines of lockdown until November 30, the Chief Minister chaired a meeting with the district Collectors to decide upon further orders to be followed in Tamil Nadu.
Accordingly, EPS said that upon the advice from the expert team further course of action will be announced soon, considering the upcoming festive season. He further requested the public to abide by the SOPs prevailing , in order to control the pandemic situation further.
He also said the decision on reopening the theatres will be taken after the discussion with expert panel.
