TN Slum Clearance Board official arrested for graft
An estate officer of Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB) office was arrested for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for issuing property sale deed of the house of the complainant on Friday in Chennai.

The arrested man was identified as Gunasekaran. He had instructed the complainant to hand over the bribe money to one Velayutham, a retired junior assistant who was employed illegally by Gunasekaran. Velayutham was also arrested by the DVAC sleuths.
A release from the DVAC said a case was registered on Friday and a trap was laid. After the accused Gunasekaran reiterated the demand and asked the complainant to hand over the money to Velayutham, the complainant did accordingly even as the DVAC sleuths nabbed the culprits red-handed.
