Phillip-ism IPS officer publishes his record-breaking 3,333 maxims
Prateep V Philip, senior IPS officer and DGP Tamil Nadu CBCID, is now a proud holder of a world record for authoring the maximum number of maxims or original quotes on A to Z of life.

His book containing 3,333 maxims was released on January 2 in the city.
The record is certified by the Worldkings World Record Union with a gold medal. According to Prateep V Philip, the book ‘Fillipism, 3333 Maxims to maximise Your Life’ is all about bringing positive thoughts among the people.
“I started writing these quotes during my student days but 99 per cent of the quotes were written in the last 10 years. I was inspired by the work of Tiruvalluvar, so I started jotting down my own quotes and found the term Fillipism,” the officer noted. The book has chapters titled motivation, inspiration, well-being, success, leadership, and management.

- ‘Fillipism’ is a word coined by the author to characterise his unique and original maxims drawn from his three decades of experience and reflection in the force.
- Simple, pithy, full of puns and metaphors, it consists of 3,333 maxims which breaks the record of maxims or sayings written by a single individual in any language.
- “All these are only out of life experiments. One of the quotes is ‘Don’t just do it, do the just’ – the youth nowadays follow ‘just do it’ which is not right,” said Philip.
