I-T raids at Master producer Xavier Britto's house

Sleuths from the income tax department have been searching the properties linked to businessman Xavier Britto in the city since Tuesday. 

The searches began at his residence at Kasturba Nagar in Adyar and office at Radhakrishnan Salai in Mylapore on Tuesday morning, while raids began at the Oppo's Chennai office at Perungudi few hours later. On Wednesday, his hotel near the Adyar bridge in Sastri Nahar was also brought under the I-T department's control. The searchers are on at the fifth floor of the hotel, said a source. 

Sources said that Xavier Britto, who produced Vijay's latest film Master, takes care of the logistics of the mobile phone's production unit. 

While the searches at the Oppo's office was completed on Wednesday morning, the raids continued till afternoon in Adyar and Mylapore. 

Xavier Britto runs a number of business ententerprises including hotels apart from the movie production banner. His latest movie starring Vijay, who is also related to Xavier, was a blockbuster hit despite releasing in theaters with partial restrictions for fans. 

I-T department began searches on Tuesday at the Foxconn company in Sriperumpudur and sources said that the office of the Redmi located inside the office is being searched. The searches were not over till Wednesday afternoon.
