‘Budget details should have been given earlier’

Renuka (ward 42) of the Communist Party of India (CPI) pointed out that councillors do not have sufficient time to read and collate the details of the budget as the document was given while the announcements were being made. “It will be useful if the Corporation provides the documents before 48 hours and councillors can put forth their views clearly,” she said. While she was making her point, DMK members, who are in alliance with CPI, intimated saying she is speaking like an opposition member.
