Flex banner falls on woman at Royapettah theatre, admitted for treatment

CHENNAI: A 26-year-old woman fainted as a flex banner fell on her at a popular theatre complex in Royapettah on Thursday when she stepped out after watching a movie with her husband.
The two who went for the late night show at Sathyam theatre were walking towards the parking lot when a banner hanging overhead suddenly fell on the woman identified as Monika Sridevi of Triplicane.
As she collapsed on the spot, her husband Gowtham rushed her to a private hospital at Mylapore on a two-wheeler.
Though there was no external injuries, she has been admitted to a hospital. Anna Salai police are inquiring about the incident.
