CHENNAI: While waiting for friends and taking a sip of coffee at famous junctions in Triplicane and Chepauk, where people meet each other for various purposes, one can watch their favorite content in OTT free as the Greater Chennai Corporation has given permission to a private service provider to erect free WiFi poles.
According to a Chennai Corporation resolution, permission for erecting free WiFi poles have been given based on a request from Udhayanidhi Stalin, MLA of Chepauk-Triplicane and son of Chief Minister MK Stalin.
The WiFi poles will be erected at 40 places, including Icehouse junction, May Day Park, Anna Statue junction, Rathna Cafe junction and other places.
