Watch: Stalin flags off e-autos manufactured by Chennai company

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday flagged off e-autos manufactured by TI Clean Mobility pvt ltd, an arm of Murugappa group.
The three-wheeler, commercially named Montra, was manufactured in the TI cycles campus in Ambattur. TI Clean Mobility had signed an MoU for Rs 140 crore in July, last year, in the presence of Stalin, to manufacture electric three-wheelers and accordingly to the MoU 580 persons were provided employment in their plant. The State government said that it was notable on the part of TI Clean Mobility to roll out its first set of e-autos in one year of signing MoU.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, through video conference, inaugurated 25 new works attached to the HR&CE department, which will be carried out at the cost of Rs 105 crore. Some of the key works include construction of a lodge for devotees visiting Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple at the cost of Rs 35 crore, construction of a "Annadhanam" centre, head tonsuring hall and a multipurpose hall in Vadapalani Murugan Temple at the cost of Rs 9.84 crore.
